THE LIBRARY ADVOCACY WALK (LAW)

THE LIBRARY ADVOCACY WALK (LAW)

Concerned and bothered by not only the Dilapidating state of the rented Sanusi Dantata House but also its gross inadequacy to house Millions of the National Library of Nigeria collections, and the attendant consequences of this development on our security and effective service delivery, THE ACADEMIC STAFF UNION OF RESEARCH AND ALLIED INSTITUTIONS (ASURI), NLN CHAPTER is organising a Library Advocacy Walk (LAW).

LAW is a clarion call to all Nigerians to demand the completion of the National Library of Nigeria's Headquarter Building as a National Intellectual Storehouse and the country's giant memory.

ASURI therefore invite all Library professionals and stakeholders to join in the walk planned to hold as follows:
Date: Tuesday 17th October, 2017
Time: 9:00AM
Convergence Point: Uncompleted NLN building, beside National Mosque, Abuja.

The LAW will match to the Federal Ministry of Education to deliver an Appeal letter to the Hon. Minister of Education and proceed to the National Assembly and deliver Appeal letters to the Committees of Education of the two Chambers.

. . . Join LAW to salvage the National Library of Nigeria.
